Currently, PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk ("AMI") operates in two business segments: metallurgical coal mining and mineral processing.
Metallurgical Coal Mining
AMI has 5 (five) subsidiaries operating in the metallurgical coal mining, PT Lahai Coal (“LC”), PT Maruwai Coal (“MC”), PT Sumber Barito Coal (“SBC”), PT Kalteng Coal (“KC”), dan PT Juloi Coal (“JC”). Each of the five subsidiaries is held with 99.99% ownership.
The concession areas are located in the Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan province with a total area of 146,579 hectares. As of December 31st, 2023, all five of AMI’s subsidiaries have obtained decisions related to the production operation stage, in which two of them, i.e. LC and MC have commenced their mining operations.
Mineral Processing
PT Kalimantan Aluminium Industry (“KAI”) is a subsidiary of PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk, established to run its main business in metal refining and smelting, specifically aluminum. KAI is currently building an aluminum smelter and its supporting facilities in the North Kalimantan industrial area, which has been included among Indonesia’s national strategic projects.
